At a time of year when most of the country’s attention turns to turkeys, traditions, and time off with family, book bloggers eagerly plan to do what they do best: read.
Last year, Jenn at Jenn’s Bookshelves, Candace at Beth Fish Reads, and Jen at Devourer of Books decided to begin a tradition of their own: Thankfully Reading. And they’re inviting all bibliophiles to join in!
Finally, a tradition I can really get behind.
The rules
There are no rules! Just read, and maybe post about it. This event is a great opportunity to cheer on your fellow book-lovers. You can begin adding your posts to Jenn’s Mr. Linky on Friday, and wrap-ups will be posted on Sunday.
More from Jenn:
We’ll also be checking in on Twitter using the hashtag #thankfulreading. Join in for the weekend or for only a single day. No rules, no pressure!
This year, we will be doing some fun Thankfully Reading mini-challenges over the weekend. Be sure to check back Thanksgiving weekend for more details!
Each participant of Thankfully Reading Weekend will receive a copy of Shelf Unbound, a new digital monthly magazine featuring the best of small press, university press, and self-published books!
An indulgence I won’t feel guilty about!
