“Much Ado about Nothing” Celebrates DC’s Caribbean Culture

Directed by Timothy Douglas, this production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado about Nothing is a nod to one of DC’s many diverse cultural elements; the website explains that the “play’s musical language resonates with Caribbean rhythm in this colorful production.”

Caribbean Take on Classic Play Running from October 21 to November 29 at the Folger Elizabethan Theatre, the play has already received enthusiastic encouragement in the Washington City Paper’s Fall Arts Preview. Tickets are $30-$60.
